Diecast Obsession

This Friday, November 27th, Pope Designs is rolling out 2 new custom diecast collectibles.  The Pope Designs Country Christmas VW Drag Bus and Dairy Delivery go on sale this black Friday.  Each vehicle sports a deep, rich burgundy paint job with retro style holiday tampos done in traditional seasonal colors all tied together with a great woody look.  Both vehicles come in an acrylic case with a festive matching background.  Quantities are VERY limited so you’re going to want to be ready for this sale.  The VW Drag bus is limited to only 20 pieces (18 of which are for sale) and will run you $100 plus $8 for shipping and handling.  The Dairy Delivery is limited to only 15 pieces (14 of which are for sale) and will run you $80 and $8 for shipping and handling.  These vehicles will be up for sale on www.ebay.com on November 27th at 9pm EST.  Check out the Pope Designs website for all the info.

Another Kmart collectors day goes down in the books.  Unlike last time everyone at todays event had a case to go through.  Some people even got 2.  A few variations and errors found at this event.  We had 16 cases and found that the pink cuda was either very dark or very light.  A really noticeable variation.  Another variation that I found was mustang missing the white stripes and taillights on the back.  I picked up the car and handed it right over to Mike Zarnock for his collection.  Out of the maybe 30 mustangs we looked at this is the only error.  If you’ve got one of these let me know!  The 57 Chevy had either a red or light brown color on the side tampo and the Hot Bird had the same color varis on the flames.  The mustang hunt was seen in a dark and light red color.  I’ll try and get some more pics up tonight!

While browsing the 1 stop diecast site I found some pics and list of cars for the 2010 Hot Wheels Delivery series.  The Delivery set will have 6 Special RLC / Hobby Cases throughout 2010, They are planned now for 2 each in March, June, and September.  There are 34 castings in 3 colors.  They will all have metal bases and real rider tires.  These cars will more than likely be flying off the pegs so you better pre-order a case now from 1 stop diecast.   Check out which cars are going to be in the set in the list below.
