MileZone’s Diecast Library Site to Open Feb. 1st

The folks at MileZone have been working on what sounds to be a great site for us diecast collectors. Offering users a “library” of 1/64 scale images in Hot Wheels, Greenlight, Johnny Lightning, M2, Matchbox, and much more. In fact because the “TDL” (The Diecast Library) is a user based site, you, the user are able to upload your photos to the site, so it’s users who will make the library grow in images. Why would you do this? Because not only can you create a database of your photos, but you share photos with the entire library, and can organize your photos in as many databases as you like. Even setup a database of “your needs” and make this public so your friends and family can use as a Gift Registry. Need more? How about a internal Buddy List, where you can become buddies with other collectors and share images and information. Still Need More? How about the ability to send custom eCards of your favorite 1/64 scale diecast ride, with custom messages. Ok Still Not Convinced? How about the ability to vote on images, comment on images, and see the top images, users, and more!
Once the site opens they plan to continue adding more cool features, but first must get the most important thing started, getting loads and loads of images populated to the site.

Please join them on the Grand Opening Feb. 1st and give the site a try. They have some Grand Opening Prizes and Drawings that we will be giving away that week, some from them, and some directly from a few manufacturer’s that have agreed to take part in the site. The folks at Castline (M2 Machines) have already agreed to be contributors to the site, and have offered up a cool prize package for our Grand Opening week. Greenlight has also contributed to the site, and will possibly be sending in a prize package as well. More info will be giving on the site, so watch that soon.

GreenLight 1:64 Diorama Series 1 - Coming Soon

GreenLight is excited to announce the release of brand new 1:64th Dioramas! This first assortment is composed of four different scenes from popular GreenLight lines such as Auction Block, Hot Pursuit and County Roads. The other diorama is a scene from Bullitt- a first for GreenLight!

Warner Brothers and GreenLight LLC have come together to recreate one of the most famous car chases in movie history. Bullitt, produced in 1968, is an American classic starring Steve McQueen best-remembered for the 1968 Ford Mustang and 1968 Dodge Charger influential car chase. 12 Hot Wheels Cases And No Big Display?

While browsing the toy aisle in Walmart last night a friend noticed 12 Hot Wheels cases on the bottom of a pallet. I figured it would be for a huge display but the pegs were stocked a childrens race car bed was already overflowing with mainlines. The employees didn’t seem to know much but were kind enough to let us go through the cases. All of the cases contained bone shaker hunts. There were about 3 Volkswagen Beetles per case and only 1 ‘56 ford in red and 1 ‘69 Dodge Coronet Super Bee in orange per case. If anyone spots a big display going up in their Walmart drop me a line!
